2022 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrids are prepped for the Rebelle Rally

Since the Mitsubishi Outlander will not have a new plug-in hybrid model, the manufacturer is not going to be competing in the Rebelle Rally with electrical assistance this 12 months. But Kia is buying up the baton by coming into not just one, but two 2022 Kia Sorento Plug-in Hybrids in the all-females off-street race.

The Sorentos have been beefed up for the tough terrain, and in preserving with the all-females theme, they ended up modified by the females-owned shop, LGE-CTS. One-inch spacer have been equipped to the suspension for a modest lift together with chunky all-terrain tires on seventeen-inch KMC wheels. Skid plates line the base for defense, and tow hooks ended up equipped for possible recoveries. Talking of recoveries, equipment such as tread boards and shovels are stored on the aftermarket roof racks. Inside, the rear seats ended up eradicated to make space for a customized storage procedure.

With two Sorentos, Kia has two groups coming into. One of them is Kia’s staff from past 12 months, comprised of Alyssa Roenigk and Sabrina Howells. The 2nd staff is new with rally driver Verena Mei and navigator Tana White. They’re going to be competing in the X-Cross course in opposition to cars such as the aforementioned Mitsubishi Outlander and even the VW ID.4. The Rebelle Rally is currently underway and wraps up on Oct 16.
