Hyundai suggests its soaked-variety DCT is very similar in construction to a guide, indicating it can stand up to the engine’s immense ability. Talking of ability, Hyundai confirmed the Kona would produce “roughly 276 horsepower,” which is just one hp extra than the Veloster N. The soaked-variety transmission employs two electrical oil pumps that decrease friction involving the relocating parts, building greater clutch cooling and enabling higher torque transfer.
The Large Move Electric Oil Pump delivers gear lubrication and clutch cooling, whilst the Large Stress Electric Oil Pump provides oil to the accumulator and maintains force for gear shifts. When functioning in tandem, the gasoline pumps increase effectiveness and gasoline overall economy.
Hyundai tested it on Nurburgring Nordschleife for roughly one,350 grueling laps to assure the transmission will stand up to operator abuse.
