Faurecia secures hydrogen tank contract from SAIC | Automotive Industry News

Faurecia has won a deal from SAIC to give hydrogen tanks for a fleet of business automobiles.

The award from SAIC enables Faurecia to confirm an purchase intake of more than EUR250m (US$305m) life time revenue to date, on observe to achieve the target of EUR500m order intake in 2021 for zero emission hydrogen remedies.

“This recent contract from SAIC is our very first award in China considering the fact that the acquisition of a majority stake in CLD”, said Faurecia CEO, Patrick Koller.

Alongside this newest award for SAIC, Faurecia and Symbio, its joint undertaking with Michelin, will equip light commercial vehicles, buses and business automobiles for Safra and Stellantis with fuel cell stacks and hydrogen storage systems. 

Starting off deliveries this summer months and for the duration of a 4-yr period, Faurecia will also equip about one,600 Hyundai heavy-responsibility vans that will be sent to Hyundai Hydrogen Mobility in Switzerland.
