Lawmakers back $8 billion for electric U.S. postal vehicles

Home lawmakers innovative language authorizing $8 billion for the U.S. Postal Services to invest in extra electric powered vehicles as the agency modernizes its ageing fleet.

The Home Oversight and Reform Committee added the measure ahead of approving and sending to the entire Home legislation aimed at superior monitoring mailed ballots. Independently the panel accepted a bill to shore up Postal Services finances just after a long time of losses at the agency.
