Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUVs updated for 2022

Peugeot has revised the 3008 and 5008 SUVs for 2022, including a minor design refresh and revised equipment lists, similar to the update recently announced for the 508 saloon.

Both are offered with a choice of five trim-levels, called Active Premium, Allure and Allure Premium, GT and GT Premium. The top two models come with a range of sporty styling tweaks, larger alloy wheels, sports seats and a contrasting black roof.

The 3008 and 5008 now feature new gloss black mirror caps, to match the new black radiator grille, when specified in the Active Premium, Allure and Allure Premium trim-levels

Inside is a new half-leather seat upholstery with copper stitching for GT versions of both cars. Both also come with Peugeot’s 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10-inch infotainment system as standard, on Allure models and upwards.

Prices for the updated Peugeot 3008 start from £27,905. The range kicks off with a 128bhp 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol unit, which comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Above that, there’s a 128bhp 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel, priced from £29,855.

At the top of the range sits a pair of plug-in hybrid powertrains, both of which are based around the same 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The cheapest version has one electric motor and a maximum output of 222bhp, while the range-topping four-wheel drive version gains an extra motor for the rear axle and is rated at 296bhp. Prices start from £37,310 and £43,010 respectively.

The 5008 is priced from £30,360 and starts with the same 128bhp 1.2-litre petrol found in the 3008. There’s also a 128bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine at the lower end of its line-up, along with a more powerful 178bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel for the more expensive GT and GT Premium models.
