New Delhi: The Supreme Court docket on Monday pulled up car associations, like Federation of Car Sellers Associations (FADA), noting that its buy on relaxations for sale and registration of BS-IV cars has been flouted by sellers.
A bench headed by Justice Arun Mishra and also comprising Justice S Abdul Nazeer and Justice Indira Banerjee was hearing a situation related to the peace in the sale and registration of cars, compliant with BS-IV emission norms.
The bench stated that its earlier buy on relaxations for sale and registration of BS-IV cars has been apparently flouted by car sellers. The apex courtroom noticed that it experienced allowed the sale and registration of 1.05 lakh BS-IV cars, but two.fifty five lakh cars have been marketed given that then.
The top rated courtroom sought the particulars of the sale and registrations of cars by FADA by Friday.
The top rated courtroom also requested the Ministry of Highway Transport and Highways to submit the particulars of BS-IV cars marketed and registered just after the court’s March 27 buy.
This comes as India has decided to change to the world’s cleanest emissions regular from April 1. It has absent straight to Euro-VI emission criteria from Euro-IV.
