IIHS study shows convertibles are just as safe as fixed-roof cars

A new report from the Insurance policies Institute for Freeway Safety (IIHS) suggests that late-model convertibles are statistically just as safe as their hardtop counterparts. If you’ve got been on the fence about paying for a topless summertime cruiser, this may be just the nudge you wanted.
